what I have use without problems for a few years.

I believe kosher salt is free of additives. Table salt
often has silicates or something in it to make it flow
freely. I don't know if these additives have any effect in
the solutions under discussion but its as well not to have
to worry about them. The container should say if the salt
has Iodide or silicates or other additives (at least in the
USA).
