Oh #$%&^, I did write "bisulfate." Of course I did mean bisulfite. If the plain sodium sulfite just takes a lot longer then I'll try it again. Thanks.

Try Sodium or Potassium Metabisulfite. According to Kodak their packaged Sodium Bisulfite is actually mostly the Metabisulfite which can be used where the bisulfite is called for. Bisulfite is the standard clearing bath for dichromate bleaches.
