Regarding the original question: in my understanding difference between
waterproof and non-waterproof india ink is the presence of shellac in
waterproof inks. (I could be completely wrong though...)

They are pigment dyes. Katayoun set me on track. It looks a very
promising dispersion. I bought WB-25 Black. I am now off to France so I
