DEAR MARK,
Another case of Brits vs. 'Murikans.
Webster's Dict. states that the first "I" in titration is long as in
"eye" so it is more like "tye-TRAtion.
Oxford English Dict. states that the "I" is short so it is more like
tih-TRAtion. So, whatever was chasing Woodie Allen across the lawn was the
result of a British analytical chemist, not a 'Murikan one.
