Jon, I'm not following your position below. You mention the contact issue, but then say the solution is an exposure unit. Did you mean an exposure unit with a vacuum frame? Or did you mean something different. Contact is the most common problem with this process. It comes especially troublesome when one goes beyond 5x7. Patching is certainly indicative of contact issues.
