RE: Wrinkled Prints

Rita,

For some reason, I just saw your message below just now. Well, if you want to keep the edges, there is still something you can try with the side pasting method. You can use very weak paste (for mounting paintings, we use 1 teaspoon corn starch for one cup of water; you can probably use 1 teaspoon for 2 cups), and don't put the paste exactly on the edges but put it say 1 inch inward (and you only need to apply the paste in narrow bad, like 1/4 inch wide). Paste the print on something really smooth, like plastic laminate (formica), glass, or wall painted with oil-based paints. After it dries, you can pull the print off easily since the paste is weak.

I just saw your last message about not wanting the paper to be too smooth. If that is the case, it is even easier. After the print shrink a little bit and smooth out the print to your likeness, you can just pull it off the support without waiting for it to be completely dry.

Dave

But then you have to cut the sides of the paper, which I don't know if that is ok for your case.
Dave,

A good plan, except for the edges (and deckles) which may be the part I most love... .
