I wish I could see that exhibit also. I do have a friend that lives in D.C.
so maybe I'll dispatch her to look at the show for me.

Don--

I wish you could see the Rembrandt exhibit at the National Gallery in
Washington (unfortunately closing March 18).  There are several examples of
multiple impressions of the same image illustrating among other things his
use of plate tone.  Differences in how the plate is wiped can impart
strikingly different moods to an image.
