Hello there,
I'm currently experimenting a process derived from orotone which I call orotype. You can find information about this project on:

Best wishes,

Oh?  What did you learn about how to make them?  Orotone comes from the gold used in the backing after a positive image was realised on the glass.

Several methods have been discussed using liquid emulsion.  The Curtistone was named when he tried, with this chemist, assistant of his Immogene Cunningham used brass instead of gold, because his production was so great the cost was tremendous.

One lady in Santa Barbara, CA does something like Orotones, but she keeps her process her personal secret.  The images against glass are so real . . . it's a berautiful process.

I could use information on the orotone process . I only find references to Curtis type with goggle search. I like to know more of the history. I worked out how to make them form a discussion on wet plate the forum.

Best regards,
Robert Cockrell
