While I am still a rank amatuer at gum I think the suggestion Judy made in Post Factory of using gouache if you are after a single coat gum print is an excellent one. I tried regular water color and could never get a black dark enough without staining till I switched. Multiple coating, whether of the same of different colors is another story. Also, one coat gums don't need preshrinking or sizing. Charles Portland OR
