One Coat Gum Concise Process

Concise Formula for Bichromated Wash Drawing System

A. Sizing. Sugar 4 gms

Gelatine 4 gms

Water 100 ml.

B. Pigment mix. Lamp black 1gm.

Gum 2.5 ml. ( 50% solution)

Water 2 ml.

Take 2 gms of the above B pigment mix and add 3/4'' strip of Water colour tube paint.

Mix well and add this to 15 to 18 ml of the following solution. Mix well.

C. Base mix. Starch (Corn or Rice) 2 gms.

Sugar 2 gms.

Boiling Water 100 ml.

Sensitizer solution by immersion.

Ammonium Dichromate        1 gm.

Sodium or Potassium Citrate 1 gm.

Water                                 100 ml.

..................................................

Ultra Violet exposure decided by tests.

....................................................

Development soak 10 + minutes in Water 115 F

.....................................................

Spray development. Return print to soak water, now and then during clearing, to maintain temperature.
