Chris passed on what Luis
wrote:-
''..........................or I will change direction and get
back into Fresson printing but strictly for limited editions in
monochrome work. I don't like the color version of the process for
reasons detailed in my books. Regards, Luis

John writes,
I prefer the
monochrome Direct Carbon work, also, because it is closer to the
genre I want for my subjects. Hand colouring monochrome
prints on a variety of paper textures with dry pure pigments or pastels (
including laid pastel paper with tramlines ) is a project I am
looking forward to. In my hands, this will not produce such
sumptuous photographic results as the recent work brought to our attention
by Caroline Rogers, but it is very satisfying to do.It is also more
painterly.
Best wishes with your own
projects.
