I'd call it if anything the future of TV ads, because that's what it looked like -- and was -- a car ad. And I didn't see anything there not explainable by speeding up technology we're already familiar with -- at least implied, if not yet realized, by sometime around siggraph #3 (spelling correction appreciated). As for the "art" involved -- Disney does it better.
