Beware, Masa is not for the faint hearted. Yes it buckles and creases if you're not careful and/or you push the paper too far (more than 3 - 4 coats). I use the paper affixed to a strong / dimensionally stable support (Yupo). But I did 3-4 layers without the support sheet too - nevertheless I prefer the support sheet method because it lets me get absolutely perfect registration...
