Re: Soho show

Diana,

As far as I know, we havent got chiggers here in Sydney, Australia - or blueberries either for that matter, although they are being cultivated here a little now. BUT we have got lots of other things that bite photographers. I got bitten by sandflies this last weekend while lying on the beach (no sharks in sight though).

Thanks all - I hadn't guessed that they were nasty bitey things.

cheers Catherine

Where do you live, Catherine, that you don't have chiggers in the blueberry patches?  I might move there.  ;)

Catherine,

We all got chiggers that day, including Sam Wang, Sandy King and myself..... and they aren't a joy!

You can google the little bastards (you can't see them because they are so small), but unfortunately you can't google them away!

Tying your pantlegs and then showering with warm soapy water and washing your clothes after venturing out will help.  If they do bit you, I found an oral antihistimine also helps a lot!

This question is waaaaay OT,  but I need to know - what are chiggers?

The feeling that I got from Chris's post was that chiggers is an illness,
and from Peg (just below), that chiggers is something to look forward to.

many thanks, congratulations, and I hope that the exhibition goes well
best wishes
Catherine
