Re: Silver Oxide from Silver Nitrate?

Hi Keith

From Mike Ware's website, page http://www.mikeware.co.uk/mikeware/Argyrotype_Process.html:

'Alternatively, 7 g Silver(I) Oxide may be precipitated from a solution of 10.3 g Silver Nitrate by adding a solution of 2.5 g Sodium Hydroxide; after filtration and washing, the moist precipitate may be dissolved in the Sulphamic Acid.'

Hope that helps

Can someone direct me to the instructions for converting silver
nitrate to silver oxide? I can't find it in the archives.
