My feelings are: why introduce problems?

If there is just 1% chance of contamination I don't do it. I keep as meticulous a darkroom as I can. I figure there's too many variables already to start worrying about things that you DO have control over...

Diana, what problems did you experience? I put the brush in a vessel
filled with water right after coating. I wash it later when the print is
exposing. Never encountered any problems that way!?
