Umm, while I'm sure you'll get plenty of slaps with option 1, if you 
google pounce pad, you'd be amazed at what appears. (even pounce wheel, 
or electro pounce, for that matter. Amazingly us old sign guys are 
useful for something.)
If you need more than the lightest dusting, cheesecloth works well, or a 
trip to Joann's fabrics will yield you tons of interesting goodies.
