hi chirs,
i don't know much about highend printer, nor about macs, but most 
electronic devices come with a "reset to default" or some kind of "hard 
reset" option. often that helps a lot.
but definitely make sure that there is no data or profiles stored in the 
printer's memory that could get lost.
