Tom--many thanks. Your message led me to dig deeper and I figured out both problems. The matter of separations was simple--I had a two layers and it wouldn't split the channels. Flattened and problem solved. On the curves, I dug into the dialog boxes and found an options tab--clicked it and there it was either display.

So, folks, no need for more help on this problem (I'm sure I'll have many more) and many thanks to Tom. A toast of Cava to you.
