Hi Erich
Some years ago I designed and built a reflection color densitometer for my color photographic applications and later an UVmeter for measuring incident UV radiation
You can find a lot of possibilities for choosing your UV photodiode sensor at:
http://www.sglux.de/index.php?id=22&L=1&tx_ttproducts_pi1[cat]=20
TW30SX is blind to visible light and useful for UVA and UVB and it is what I used
Concerning your UV source depends with your application in mind but I can suggest an UV diode with 360nm peak such as Fox FG5L360 for measuring absorption at 360 nm that's useful for measuring potasium dichromate absorption peak.I usually use this type for my applications
I include my web where you can see some details about my old luxmeterdesign and also some views of my reflection color densitometer

Subject: [alt-photo] UV-densitometer

Dear users of an UV-densitometer,
I got a lot of valuable tips for building my own UV-densitometer.
Thanks to everybody who gave me advice. But nobody could tell me what UV-light source is used in their meter.
Maybe anyone can tell me if the manufacturer gives details about the power of their UV-light source in the manual that will be delivered with the machine.I know that there are Alt-Photo-members who use the X-Rite 361T.Can they give me more info ?
Thanks in advance again.
Kind regards,
Erich Camerling
