David,

I assume a lot of digital trickery in between the original negatives (I thought they were glass negatives size 4*5 or so..). My guess is also that these negatives weren't optimalised for Pt printing. I am with Etienne on this they are too clean to perfect, judged on screen at least..

Are they better than these? These prints are from plates made in 1911.
