Have one in your car go out, the converter, and it feels like you got robbed
anyway. last year $2200 for a pair of them on my flex Taurus wagon.

I was told recently of an incident where a catalytic converters was stolen
for the platinum it contained.  I tried to find it on-line, and discovered
it was quite common.
