Snow Leopard is the new operating system of Mac, but you don't have to worry about that issue since you are on a PC.

I agree with you on Vista.  My last small PC was Vista and I gave it away. Hated it.  My super duper PC was Windows XP and it was great but then had to go "all Mac" home and school because it was too difficult to keep up both op syses with software, especially Photoshop.  

Make sure your image is not in sRGB; if it is, convert to profile under edit. That is a biggie.  But I have been doing diginegs now with the 2 ink system since 2005 and nary a problem.
