At the times of Capt. Abney platinum salts were as expensive as silver 
salts, but now that we are counting the drops any excess of Pt is only a 
waste of money once we know that the chemistry of Pt printing is the 
chemistry of iron. 

I don't see any complication to think with XXI century neurons.
