Dear All,
The list sure is dead lately!

So I thought I'd share a silly thing.

I was cleaning off the tintype trophy metal plates from the group class so I could reuse them, under hot water (which will easily melt the liquid emulsion right off the aluminum) and one of them was really tenacious and would NOT slough off, melt off, scrape off. I was wondering what the heck the student did to have the emulsion stick so well to the plate and then I found out why: he/she had not removed the plastic covering off the trophy aluminum that you have to peel off before coating.

It was interesting to me how well it stuck to the plastic....

Always fun to learn from mistakes.
