We have found that Ilford Ortho Plus is a very good replacement. It has a 
very manageable curve to work with, much like Kodak Copy film.

It was the best film for working with enlarged negatives that I found. It
made other films that I tried later seem so poor. And after having used it
for 15 years prior to it being discontinued, a big pain to test, and test,
all the new or older inferior film to come close.
