	I am so saddened to read your news.  I always valued Katherine's
contributions to the list.  Sadly, I never met her.  Many of us have never
seen what the other list members look like or how old we all are.  Oh, well,
an aspect of the digital age.
	I will miss her...

  Katharine Thayer, the Oregon gum printer and large format photographer, 
passed away this past weekend. A memorial service is being planned for
