Chris,
Is the red iron oxide unsuitable because it does ot mix well, or somehow reacts with casein making it unsensitive to dichromate? I am using watercolor (Daniel SMith) tubes. SO far a few pigments that I tried seem to be OK for a mix and use at once method. I have not done stock pigment solutions yet.
