So it turns out that the 3880 has been recently discontinued although there
is no word about a replacement. From what I've heard from some friends in
the know regarding Epson is that they don't have a replacement model for the
3880 and are discontinuing it to push the more expensive (but still trouble
ridden 4900). I can't substantiate these rumors and I'm wondering if you
know anything about it. Most sources for the 3880 are down to their last few
in stock so I'm feeling the pinch. The last thing I want to do is buy a 3880
and then the next day find out that they are releasing a replacement. Anyone
know anything about a replacement?

Francesco
