I love Rives BFK.
Works great for both van dyke and cyanotype. Affordable and luscious feel.....comes in warm or bright white.

Hi:
I'm doing my annual pinhole camera, alternative process workshop this weekend. ( http://ccde.usask.ca/uscad/photography ) I'm going to have my students print on the Canson Universal Sketch paper that Christina suggested. Although its a light weight paper, it works well for both Van Dyke and cyanotype.
I want to get a few sheets of heavier paper to show students the differences in papers, especially the differences in the color tone of Van Dykes from paper to paper. I haven't had time to check a lot of other papers. What are people favorite papers for Van Dyke?
Gord

Hi Gordon, a very nice (cheap, but thin!) paper is Masa. (Very
cold/bright base...) Weston Diploma Parchment (also thin, but heavier
than Masa) is very nice too. (Very warm base...) Bergger COT 320 works
well too...
Hope this helps & regards,
Loris.

Coventry Rag Vellum White. It's a medium weight print making paper. pH
neutral and around $2.50 per sheet (22 x 30) from United Art and Ed.
gives really intense browns.
