First I wish you all a "Gelukkig 2011"!


Now on the topic of clearing Pt prints: I print Pt only, and I clear with Na4EDTA pH8.0. (Perhaps not sufficient, but visible it is, and my Pt printing thus far does not deserve to live on a couple of 100 years anyway..;-)..and the Pt solutions I use I made my self, but that is another story..)

Anyway, before clearing I give 2-4 rinses with water, because I notice that those rinses look turbid/cloudy/whiteish/milkisch for lack of a proper description. I use PotOx as developer.

Any idea what this colour change of the rinse water is causing? I take a couple of rinses to get to no colour/apperabce change..

Ps I should look up what Jeffery Mathias wrote about it on his extensive web site (now gone, anybody knows what happened to him?)
