[Alt-photo] Peeling gelatine on old glass plate

This is possibly/probably the wrong place to list but someone may be able to help. 

I have an old 5x4 glass plate probably from the late 50's which I found in a plate holder I bought recently. There's an area on the edge about 2cm x1 cm that's peeling. The gelatine is stable i.e. Doesn't have the fungus that can dissolve gelatine when wet. Any ideas how I can safely stick down?
