How to make collodion foils?

I would like to restore my old 5x7 Reckmeier split-beam camera for in-camera
colour separations. This camera did not use semi transparent glass mirrors, like
the Devin or Bermpohl type but thin gilded collodion foils.

Does anybody have an idea how to create thin collodion foils of perfect quality?
