I am posting this announcement again for those of you who might have un
subscribed during the break. We encourage all of you to submit and hope that
the professors give this information to your students......there is no entry
fee.
Dear Artist,

Thank-you for your inquiry concerning the Beyond Silver IV: Pasts Present
and Future exhibition, March 4-27, 1996.

Beyond Silver's theme this year is an effort to acknowledge the past by
exhibiting work of contemporary artists using 19th century photographic
processes as well as embracing the "new technologies" considered to be
alternative photographic processes.

Arizona State University School of Art photography graduate students Carol
Panaro-Smith and Jo Ann Briseno will be curating the exhibition under the
guidance of James Hajicek, professor of non-silver photographic processes
at Arizona State University.

"Beyond Silver IV " will exhibit the selected work in Northlight Gallery
and also on the internet in Image dot Gallery. Visit Northlight Gallery at

If you would like your work to be considered send the following information:

1. A maximum of 10 slides in a slide sheet labeled with the following
information, Name, Title,"Top", # Corresponding to slide sheet. (no glass
slides please)

2. A numbered slide sheet that includes name,title,date,medium and
dimensions.

3. A resume and a short description of your creative process as well as the
technical processes involved in the work submitted.

4. A S.A.S.E. for the return of your slides. Send the packet to: Northlight

Northlight Gallery has a reputation for bringing the highest quality
photographic exhibitions to the university. Because we are primarily
committed to the educational opportunites of the shows we bring to the
gallery, it is not necessary to submit work for sale. Because of budgetary
cuts we must ask that you provide shipping to and from the institution. If
your work is selected we will provide detailed information about
shipping.
The deadline for submitting work is January 30, 1996. If you have
