Hi Keith, Thanks for the reply...You spoke of the archives...How do I find them?
I envy you for being in the land of awesome scenery and incredible photo ops...
I feel like a novice next to most of the people on this list,,,I don't own
a densitometer and have only used one to read the test strips from a color
print processing machine...I have a rather subjective way of looking at my
work and how I create it...Some people might say I "fly by the seat of my
pants"
I would be very interested in hearing what kind of paper you have used and
which paper you seem to like best...
I've used Haruki Heavy, Rives BFK, Laroque Mouchet Salpetre, Arches 88,
Strathmore Cover Text, Fabriano 90lb Rough Cream, Folio White, Stonehedge,
and
Fabriano...I think I like the first three papers the best (even if they are
also the most expensive)...Haruki is a somewhat transparent paper and uses
a bit more emulsion due to the way it absorbes so quickly...The up side is
it seems to have a bit of latitude when it comes to contrast...Rives BFK is
probably my next favorite...Very versitile...It's also great when doing
polaroid transfers (I do them dry)...Have you ever tried them???
Later...
