I've never tested this either, but when I was doing a lot of
photo-etching on metal plates, I needed a way to get good contact with
plates that might be less than perfectly flat. I built a pegboard vacuum
frame, and used those thin plastic laundry bags (the kind that have the
warning that they can suffocate children) slit open and spread out.
Worked great for my purposes, but also, since the plastic is so thin,
maybe it blocks less uv. ??

The same vac frame worked fine under the enlarger, too. Drawback was the
noise.
