Platine paper and gum prints

Hello All,

A friend of mine occasionally teaches a non-silver class and has asked me
to ask the list if anyone has tried Arches Platine with gum prints? Neither
he nor I have purchased Platine paper and I suspect he is wondering if
students could order this paper and use it successfully for both gum and
palladium projects.

I have looked through several months of postings and Jeff Stanford
indicates that he does gum over palladium. Perchance Mr. Stanford could
send us off in the right direction for a suitable paper? From what I can
gather, Buxton sounds as if it would work well, but just how hard is it to
acquire? Can it be purchased anywhere in the US? And if we go to the UK for
it, how long should we expect to wait for an order to arrive?

Please excuse any improprieties I may have committed. I read but seldom
write for fear of being bitten (when I joined this list, there was a giant
war being waged) plus, I may have inadvertently overlooked postings that
could have addressed these questions.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Margie Root
