We have been sealing our own wood sinks for years using a Fuller O'Brien
product called Mira-Plate Epoxy Coating or Pittsburg Paint's Aquapon
Interior/Exterior Polyamide-Epoxy. It is very easy to use (follow the
instructions). We recoat once a year, but the sinks here are used 5-7 days
a week 10 hours per day. The product is expensive apx. $100 for 2 gallons
(one of part A/ one of part B).Proper ventilation and a personal breathing
system are recommended. The products can be used for coating up to 8 hours
after mixing. The seal they provide is excellant.
