This is what I know on Dye Transfer:

Kodak has discontinued the process. But supposedly, Dr. Jay Patterson is
trying to recreate the process. The people who are doing the coating for
the matrix film are in Cedar Rapids (same company that coats the
UltraStable sheets). The Fax of Dr. Patterson is: 1-713-963-8650. He is
supposed to announce the availability soon, but it has been like this for
the last year or so;-)
All this information comes from Bob Pace, one of the most prominent Dye
Transfer commercial printers. You can reach him at: BPace10552@aol.com

I even received the following mail that is pertinent to the subject:

The only thing I can disagree with is that pigment prints are dull, the
rest I don't know;-)

I have a last e-mail on the subject, but as it was private, I will not give
the address of the sender. For those who might be interested contact me of
list and we will figure something out.
