info on gradation contrast in platinum/palladium

Yes, thanks (your Feb 19th message) for suggesting that I look at
discussions in the archives of the list serve to see what people have said
about aesthetic issues. Will do.

I wonder if for our future messages of this list serve, for some of them
at least, we can cut the deck, shuffle, and deal both kinds of cards at
once--highly technical and expressively descriptive. Possible?

I'll go in search of The Art of Pictorial Photography, 1890-1925. By the
way, have you ever seen Parallels and Contrasts; Photographs from the
Stephen White Collection--from the University of New Mexico Press? This
is an exquisitely printed book of mainly 19th century prints, some Westons
and one of Frederick Sommer's works. As near to the quality of early
prints as I have ever seen in book form.
