RE: Copy of: Manuals and Pronunciation

Steve

The manuals correspondence is important and highly relevant to the list.

Some manuals on alternative processes are misleading and inaccurate.

The objective was to establish what subscribers found annoying so that those of
who teach or write our own manuals could take the views of others, who are
influential in the field, into account.

You will notice that there has been no flaming in the response.

All the replies have been maturely considered.

The responses are available to and for the benefit of everyone on the list.

Surely this is what the list is about or ought to be.

This correspondence, like that on pronunciation, are both helpful to many on the
list whose specific interest is alternative photography especially the teaching
of it. All of us are constantly asked how Niepce's name is pronounced..

'Manual Hate Session' was a pun designed to get peoples' attention. Perhaps your
reaction was a mite
OTT.:-?

One subscriber on the list signs off with a comment about searching after truth.
Your great list enables us to do so. Both the manuals correspondence and that on
pronunciation are part of the process.

A somewhat singed
