Judy remarks that the paper used in gumoil does not have enough size
to isolate the paper. This is true. In fact, the process only works because
the paper absorbs the oil paint and the hardened gum does not. You apply
oil paint and then wipe it off. If the paper were sized, it would not
work very well.
