Klaus mentions a perceived difference between PVA from LIght Impresssions and
from what he calls a substitute for gum arabic. PVA as is the word is thrown
about here is a co-polymer of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl acetate. It's
made by polymerizing polyvinyl acetate and then partially hydrolyzing the
product. Varieties of PVA occur due to the molecular weight of the resulting
goo and the degree of hydrolysis of it. All PVA is not the same, and there are
more than two varieties.
