List looking for a new home...

Hi all,
As much as I have enjoyed maintaining the alt-photo-process
list, I'm afraid it is time to start looking for a new home for it. This
has been precipitated by the demise of the network on which it currently
lives (due to usual uni politics).
The machine it is currently running on will be shut down in the
not too distant future, but I will be able to move it to a new machine
on a different network, and forward all mail to it there. This should
result in a more or less transparent change (except maybe for two
digests on the one day).
However, the new machine will also be bearing the brunt of our
full undergraduate, postgraduate, and academic users, and tends to go
down fairly often (although it is well maintained, and generally comes
up again in a few hours).
This move will have to be temporary though, as I intend to
finally finish my studies at the end of the year, and past that time, I
cannot guarantee I will be able to maintain the list, or whether I will
be welcome to host the list at this site.
Therefore, I am looking for a new home for the list. I am in no
hurry, so I am going to be very fussy about who gets it. I can provide
all the software, as well as all the archives. In return, I am looking
for someone that has a good relationship with the system administrators
at their site, who is willing to put in the time to look after it, who
is sympathetic to new users and those not familiar to the internet, and
who can guarantee the list will be able to reside at their site for two
to three years minimum.
The list has grown a lot since Gord, Luis, Sandy, Olivo Miotto,
a few others and I started it in March 1994. I would like to think it
would continue to be a valuable resource for those interested in
Alternative Processes.
Anyway, if you think you have what it takes, please email me
direct. If you are busy at the moment, and would not be able to take on
the responsibilities or devote the time until later in the year, don't
exclude yourself. Like I said, I'm not in a hurry. Just an expression of
interest at this time is sufficient.
cheers
