I believe that gluteraldehyde is a safe substitute for formaldehyde. I
purchased it about 10 years ago from Tri-ess in Burbank Ca. Below is a web
page that contins the material safety data sheet. An Alta Vista search
reveals that there is a process that couples proteins to minute magnetic
particles through its use. Surely someone here can figure out how to make
pictures using that principle.
