Hi all

I am new on the list. I have been working with photogravure on
copper since 1987. Since 1992 I have 17 weeks courses on a folkhighschool
here in Sweden. We started up with asphaltaqvatints but this
winter we work with screens which we had done with help of our dustingbox
which are filled with copymachinetoner. It works very well. We had get
fantastic results with this. But we have to develop another
etchingteqniques. Is it somebody on the list who work practical with
photogravure ? Do anybody know some colurgravures printed with four plates
? I have been involved with
4 colourgravure research with Jan Peterson since 1994. We could today show
very good results but it is more work to do. I would like to come in
contact with people who work with copperphotogravure. I had tested this
polymerphotogravure and it is a easy way to do some photogravures. The tone
range is only around 1.40 specially in the higher tones it get good result
but in the blacks it is not good. On copper we have get good results with
a tonrange about 2.60. But it is always problem to get good highlights
tones , it needs much work with positives etc. I hope this polymerteqniques
should be a good introduction to copperphotogravure which is more time
consuming.
glad to here from you !
