To All:

Someone asked me yesterday about some sculptures located in, on, or
near Alexanderplatz (I'm not sure which) in Berlin. from the
photographs I saw they appear to stainless steal structures
approximately 4 to 5 meters in height, 1 to 1.5 meters wide and
aproximately 25 centimeters deep. They are situated in pairs, and have
6 or 8 images etched into the surface at eye level. The stainless
steal surfaces appear to be one piece.
The artist's name is Fischer, and Nosnitz is the name of the person
who fabricated the sculptures.
I am interested in any information regarding the process used to etch
the images onto the steel. The person who asked me about how they
might have been made spoke with the artist who was vague about the
procedure, but it seemed to translate roughly in english as
Electrostatic Etching. If that is the correct name for the process it
is not one I am familiar with, so any information people might have,
as well as where it might be accomplished in the United States would
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
