The annual show for the decorative sandblasting industry will be in
Indianapolis, Indiana from May 29 through June 1. Why am I telling this to
the list? First, this industry has some very advanced photoresist methods of
making sandblasting masks. Imagine your favorite images printed by being
sandblasted onto a sheet of glass or as part of a giant metal sculpture in
some important public space. Maybe kitsch, maybe deathless art. Or perhaps
the stuff can be used to make gravure masks. Second, I think I can supply
some free passes to the exhibits.
The pass material I have is from a company called PhotoBrasive Systems which
announces the show as an opportunity to "see the industry's leading line of
complete sandcarving and photo-resist films and equipment." I would think
that ought to get someones interest as something new to try.
Now I would not buy an airplane ticket to see this show but if any of you
are within reasonable driving distance and want to take a chance let me know
off list and I'll tell you what I know about the free passes. It is a 6 or
7 hour drive for me and I am just not up to it. I'd go if it were closer.
Thank you for your attention and we now return to our regular programming
which we join in progress.
