My Kallitypes are all under metal frames and glass. I also used the same
paper--cranes kid--for all the prints. So, since virtually everything
remained the same through all my printing, I am left to believe that some
of the prints demise came about through small incedental contaminations.

My guess it that the finely divided silver image just doesn't have enough
substance to make it in the world. . .If I knew for sure what "finely
divided" ment. My guess is that the resultant image is silver in a very
thin layer, not big clumps of thick stuff on the paper. . .is that true?
