My experience in trying EDTA to clear kallitypes is that you lose highlight
detail - bleached out. Having seen this I didn't try any more with EDTA.
I think the problem comes from the reversibility of the reaction:
Ag+ + Fe++ <---> Ag + Fe+++
But then I'm an ex-chemist!
